Homegrown Talent

Since 1 January, Richard van der Hoek has joined the SDF Horti Software team as a consultant. With fifteen years of experience at Dynaplant, he brings extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in sales, inventory management and logistics processes within the floriculture industry.

Richard’s start at SDF was memorable from day one. During his first week, severe snowfall led to a national weather warning across large parts of the Netherlands. Nevertheless, he did not let that stop him and quickly got to know his new colleagues and working environment.

During his first months, Richard worked on the helpdesk, where he became familiar with many customers and their different ways of working. What stood out to him was that every nursery has its own processes, challenges and solutions.

That diversity is exactly what makes the work interesting to him. Contributing to new developments and finding practical solutions for customer challenges is what gives him energy.

Alongside his work at SDF, Richard also participated in the KUBO Group introduction programme. This gave him insight into the different companies, activities and areas of expertise within the organisation.

Today, he independently supports customers with implementations, updates and day-to-day questions. His main interest lies in optimising processes related to sales, inventory management and logistics. The knowledge and experience he gained in his previous role can be applied directly in practice.

What Richard appreciates most about SDF is the collaborative atmosphere and the opportunity to keep learning. Building and sharing knowledge is an important part of his role, both for customers and colleagues.

Outside of work, Richard likes to stay active. He plays table tennis competitively with his father, enjoys camping with his partner Carlijn and regularly heads outdoors on his gravel bike.

With his experience, practical knowledge and enthusiasm, Richard is a valuable addition to the SDF team. We are pleased to have him as part of our organisation.
